Two Penticton Vees chosen for Ivan Hlinka tournament

PENTICTON — A pair of Penticton Vees will be lacing up for Team Canada, fighting for a ninth-straight gold medal at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup next week in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Defenceman Dante Fabbro and forward Tyson Jost were picked to join the 22-man roster.

Fabbro and Jost are the only Junior A players included on the team.

Both Vees played at last November’s World Under-17 Challenge. They also played for Team Canada West at the World Junior A Challenge in Kindersley, Saskatchewan last December.

Canada plays Czech Republic on August 10.
