Airdrie golf course opens up fairways to four-legged friends

CALGARY – Golfers are enjoying something new this summer at the Woodside Golf Course in Airdrie.

Billed as “Alberta’s first pet-friendly course,” it’s offering the opportunity to play a round with your dog.

Woodside course manager Chris McNicol said it’s a good chance to get some exercise with his black lab, Frank.

“I get something out of it, he gets something out of it. It’s the perfect mix.”

Golfing with your dog at Woodside is permitted every Sunday after 4 p.m.
