Port Coquitlam firefighters stopped a boat fire from spreading to a home this morning.
The crews were able to contain the fire, but say it appears to be suspicious.
Neighbours called 9-1-1 around 3 a.m. after hearing noises outside the home on Raymond Avenue.
Crews found flames shooting from the boat and creeping toward the house.
The house was unoccupied at the time.
Firefighters say they found materials nearby, which could have been used to ignite the fire.
The RCMP have taken over the investigation and are asking anyone with information to call them.
