Caitlyn Jenner breaks Twitter record with over 1 million followers in 4 hours

Caitlyn Jenner broke a Twitter record on Monday by receiving 1 million followers in just over four hours.

The 65-year-old claimed the record from U.S. President Barack Obama, who set the previous record last week with 1 million Twitter followers in almost five hours.

The former Olympic champion now holds the Guinness World Record with over one million followers in exactly four hours and three minutes.

Jenner’s thousands of followers came Monday after her debut spread for Vanity Fair’s June issue, and a brand new Twitter account.

The Jenner family seems to be taking over social media these days. Daughters Kylie and Kendall along with their sisters, Khloe and Kim, all range in between 22-30 million Instagram followers.
