Johnson says because the vote was so close she will seek a judicial recount to settle the vote totals.

“There are a significant number of ballots where the voter’s intention could be in question, said Johnson.

“In some cases, these ballots were counted differently by the Deputy Returning Officer on the night of the election, and by the Returning Officer in the official count.”

Johnson says that if it is determined that voters in Calgary-Glenmore have elected Anam Kazim as their representative following the judicial recount she will accept that decision.

The recount must occur within 10 days.
