MONTREAL LAKE, Sask. – A Saskatchewan man has pleaded guilty to kidnapping and assaulting his 66-year-old aunt last year. Kevin Henderson, 31, entered the plea in return for the Crown agreeing to drop a charge of attempted murder against the Montreal Lake resident.
Henderson has also pleaded guilty to theft of a motor vehicle and several breaches from a separate charge.

A two-day trial had been scheduled in Montreal Lake this week.

Defence lawyer Brian Pfefferle says he and the Crown will be asking for significant penitentiary time, but the length of the term may differ.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for Aug. 14 in Montreal Lake.
