Three men and two women will hear evidence and make recommendations at the inquest, which is expected to take about three weeks.

Perry, 22, was a patient in the hospital’s psychiatric ward when she was found dead in the facility’s amphitheatre on Feb. 14, 2012.

The Saint John Police Force had previously called for a public inquest.

Although investigators had said they had a suspect in the suspicious death, at one point, they ruled out laying any charges after consulting with the Crown.
