Toronto police arrest 5 in east end drug bust

TORONTO — Five people are due to appear in court Tuesday on drug charges after an early-morning raid by police.

The arrests stem from a two-month investigation by the Toronto Police Service involving the alleged possession, distribution and sale of crack cocaine.

Police have charged three men, one woman and one male teen.

The arrests were made when police executed search warrants at a home in the area of Blake Street and Boultbee Avenue at 5 a.m. Tuesday morning.

In all, the five people face 18 charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
