TORONTO – Toronto Mayor John Tory’s approval rating is starting to slip, according to the latest poll.
Forum Research surveyed 843 Torontonians and found that his public support stands at 67 per cent — down from 74 per cent in December shortly after election night.

The survey blames that drop mainly on Tory’s promises to raise TTC fares and residential property taxes.
Demographically, Tory remains popular in popular in all regions of the city and among all age and income groups.
The poll also found 59 per cent of respondents support the mayor’s budget and that 42 per cent believe the proposed tax hike is “about right.”

The Forum Research interactive voice response telephone survey was conducted last weekend with a margin of error of +/- 3 per cent, 19 times out of 20.
