Above watch: Montreal police constable Raphael Bergeron explains how a case from 2010 has become the first homicide of the year in 2015.
MONTREAL – Montreal police are considering the death of a former SAQ employee, the first homicide of 2015.
Hélène Leduc was shot during a botched robbery at the Baie D’Urfe SAQ on Morgan, in October, 2010.
She was left paralyzed from the neck down and died last Wednesday.
A coroner has ruled that her death was directly linked to injuries she suffered in 2010.
Three suspects were arrested following the shooting but no charges were laid because police did not have enough evidence.
Investigators are still looking for two suspects, and encourage any witnesses to come forward, by calling 9-1-1, or Info-Crime, 514-393-1133.
Sun Youth is offering a $20,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of a suspect.
