‘Terrific Trucks,’ ‘Rogue’ set to begin filming in Ontario

TORONTO — A new TV series for preschoolers is going to be shot in Ontario — and it has some very big and powerful stars.

Terrific Trucks centres on the adventures of five friends: a dump truck, a front-end loader, a digger, a semi and a mini front-end loader.

The live-action series, which will use real vehicles (with animated eyes), is set to air on U.S. network Sprout in 2016.

“We know that preschoolers love trucks — we see it in our research and hear it from our viewers,” said Sandy Wax, Sprout president, in a release. “With Terrific Trucks we will show the real world of real trucks doing real work — and make it BIG.
