Car winds up underneath Greyhound bus trailer

SASKATOON – Traffic was restricted on Highway 16 after a crash between a car and a Greyhound bus trailer Saturday. Saskatoon fire crews were called to a collision eight kilometres east of the city at around 8:15 a.m.

The fire department said the car had rear-ended a westbound bus which was pulling a cargo trailer. The car was wedged underneath the trailer.

The driver was able to get out of the car and was taken to hospital for examination.

No passengers on the bus were hurt and another bus was sent to transport them.

The fire department urges drivers to keep a safe distance in front of vehicles they are following.
