TORONTO – Police are investigating after a shooting sent one person to hospital in Toronto’s west-end.
The man was shot shortly after 12:30 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Weston Road and Humber Boulevard North.

A spokesperson for Toronto EMS tells Global News a male, believed to be in his 20s, was taken to hospital in serious condition, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and head.

Two nearby Toronto schools, Archbishop Romero and Rockcliffe Middle School, were placed in hold and secure following the shooting.
Traffic in the area could be slow as police investigate the shooting.
