Pittsburgh Penguins release ‘Christmas Vacation’ parody video

TORONTO – With the holiday season upon us, the Pittsburgh Penguins are the latest NHL team to release a Christmas themed video and it is surprisingly funny.

Penguins players, General Manager Jim Rutherford, and even broadcaster Mike Lange got in on the action as they parodied National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

Featuring memorable performances from defenceman Paul Martin as Cousin Eddie and Sidney Crosby delivering Clark Griswold’s “Where’s the Tylenol?” line, the video manages to capture some of the greatest moments from the holiday classic.

Crosby had missed three games prior to the video’s release on Dec. 19 as he was among several NHL stars battling the mumps. He returned to action Saturday, scoring a goal as Pittsburgh beat Florida 3-1.

Other teams around the league have released extended holiday greeting videos.
