CALGARY – Calgary Transit is investigating why a CTrain derailed at a busy downtown station on Thursday night.

The train slammed into the platform at City Hall around 9 p.m.

There were no injuries, but it did cause a lot of damage and delays. All CTrain service downtown was suspended for about two hours.

Shuttle buses were brought in to transport thousands of people impacted by the incident.

Earlier that same day, police responded to calls that a teenager had been struck by a CTrain at City Hall, and that the CTrain had derailed at City Hall.
