Twelve arrested, 61 charges laid in major drug bust in Regina

Police have busted what appears to be a major drug ring after an eight month investigation.

The Joint Forces Operation (made up of Regina Police, RCMP and the Saskatchewan Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit) has arrested 12 people, laying a total of 61 charges.

The charges mostly relate to drug trafficking, drug possession, and organized crime.

This investigation involved 80 investigators, 24 SWAT members, and two analysts. They searched a total of eight homes. They were located in 1600 block of Rae Street, 1000 block of Ferguson Crescent, 1900 block of Atkinson Street, 100 block of Rink Avenue, 1200 block of Dewdney Avenue East, 2000 block of Reynolds Street, 1-99 block of Massey Road, and the 1800 block of Atkinson Street.

During those searches they seized:

• Approximately 1683 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine;
• Approximately 43.8 kilograms of a substance believed to marijuana;
• Approximately 881 grams of Cannabis resin;
• Approximately 7 grams of Psilocybin (mushrooms);
• Approximately $73,200.00 in Canadian currency;
• Eleven vehicles
• Various weapons including numerous firearms, batons, bear spray, and knives.

The following individuals, all residents of Regina, were charged in connection to this investigation:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (marijuana)
• Twenty-eight year-old Christopher Linsay Rosebrook
  • Instructing Commission of Offence for Criminal Organization

  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (cocaine)
