Cyclist dies of injuries after being hit by pick-up truck

TORONTO – A 71-year-old male cyclist has died of his injuries after being struck by a vehicle in east-end Toronto Tuesday afternoon.

The victim was traveling along Victoria Park Avenue and attempting to cross O’Connor Drive around 3 p.m. when he was struck by a pick-up truck.

The cyclist suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital where he later died.

Police are urging any witnesses to come forward.
