MONTREAL — The second day of jury selection in the murder trial of Luka Rocco Magnotta has so far seen two more people chosen to hear the case.
Seven of the jury members have been selected. Ultimately, 14 jurors will hear the case and a dozen will decide the verdict.
The man selected Wednesday afternoon is a university professor and a woman who works for a public-relations firm was chosen as juror number 6 Wednesday morning.
Two women were selected as jurors on Tuesday morning, while two men and one woman were picked on Tuesday afternoon.
The process will continue until 14 bilingual candidates and two alternates have been found.

Magnotta has pleaded not guilty to five charges, including first-degree murder, in connection with the May 2012 slaying and dismemberment of Jun Lin, 33, a Chinese engineering student.
Several hundred candidates remain from the initial 1,600 summoned last week.
