Would-be thief busted after falling asleep in victim’s home

TORONTO – Seems like one Florida thief didn’t get enough sleep.

Sarasota police officers were called to a home Monday after a cleaning woman found Dion Davis napping on a bed with a bag full of jewellery laying next to him.

The suspect was still sleeping when officers arrived, so police decided to snap a few photos of him.

“Talk about falling asleep on the job!!,” the Sarasota Sheriff’s Office posted on its Facebook page. “He was passed out … on the bed and didn’t even notice the deputies taking pictures! #FloriDUH.”

Deputies also posted a photo of the suspect on Facebook.

Davis faces a number of charges.
