Eid al-Fitr is the celebration that marks the end of the month of Ramadan, a month of fasting from dawn until sunset celebrated by Muslims all over the world.
On this day, Muslims in countries around the world start the day with prayer and spend time with family, offer gifts and often give to charity.
There are however, regional differences in the exact timing of Eid due to different interpretations of the calendar and variations in religious opinion.
