TORONTO — Eva Mendes is having Canadian heartthrob Ryan Gosling’s baby.

A report in OK! magazine on Wednesday claiming the two stars are about to become parents appears to have been confirmed by Ellen DeGeneres.

“Congrats to @RyanGosling and @EvaMendes! That’s going to be the most beautiful, bilingual, part-superhero, well-dressed, romantic baby ever,” tweeted the talk show host.

OK! quoted “an insider” as revealing Mendes, 40, is seven months pregnant. People cited its own source to report the same.

Mendes hasn’t been photographed in public since March.

Ontario-born Gosling, 33, has been dating Mendes since 2011 after working together on The Place Beyond the Pines.

Gosling has brought Mendes to Canada to meet his parents — his mother Donna in Burlington and his father Tom in Cornwall — and on a day trip to Niagara Falls, where they were spotted riding a ferris wheel.

Mendes also accompanied Gosling to his mother’s 2012 graduation ceremony at Brock University in St. Catharines. The couple later attended the Toronto International Film Festival to promote The Place Beyond the Pines.

It will be the first child for both Gosling and Mendes.

Gosling previously dated Rachel McAdams, his Canadian co-star in The Notebook.

Mendes had a long relationship with filmmaker George Augusto.

In February, Mendes shot down pregnancy rumours during an appearance on Ellen. “It all started because I didn’t want to go through the scanners at the airport,” she said.

Last month, nearly a million people were fooled by a Facebook prank claiming Gosling was a temporary father to a baby boy.
