CALGARY – Officials say a semi-trailer suffered significant damage when it slammed into a downtown bridge on Thursday.
The Calgary Fire Department was called to 9th Avenue and 1 Street S.W. just after 4 a.m.

They arrived to discover the vehicle had struck a CP Rail bridge as it traveled along an underpass.
No one was injured, and the bridge suffered only minor cosmetic damage.
1st Street S.W. was temporarily closed between 9th Avenue and 10th Avenue while the truck was removed.
