REGINA – The Regina Pats are going with a different look behind the bench to start next season.

The Pats announced today that they have fired head coach Malcolm Cameron after just one season behind the bench for the hockey club.

Cameron led the Pats to a 39-26-4-3 record and a first place finish in the eastern division before the team was swept by the Brandon Wheat Kings in the first round of the playoffs.

The Pats also announced that assistant coaches Josh Dixon and Bill McGuigan have resigned from the team.

The team has yet to announce who will replace Cameron behind the bench this season.

The Pats open up their preseason at home on August28th against the Moose Jaw Warriors.
