REGINA – A 29-year-old Regina man is facing several charges after he tried to rob patrons at gunpoint outside a North Regina bingo hall on Sunday night.

Police got a report that a man was outside the bingo hall, carrying what appeared to be a handgun and asking bingo patrons for money when they were entering.

When he was unsuccessful getting any money outside, he walked into the bingo hall, grabbed money off a table, and fled out a side door.

Police arrived just in time to arrest him, and found a pellet gun in his possession.

Adrian Angus Southwind is facing several charges, including use of an imitation firearm. He made his first court appearance on Monday morning.
