TORONTO — Standing in front of sparkling Lake of Bays and under clear blue skies, Canadian singer Suzie McNeil tied the knot Saturday afternoon with musician Andrew Mactaggart.
Family and friends gathered at the Port Cunnington Lodge in the Muskoka region of Ontario for the nuptials, which came less than a year after the couple — known as Druzie — got engaged in Las Vegas.
McNeil, in a strapless white gown with black accents, came down the aisle to “Mull of Kintyre” by Wings and the couple’s dog Fizzgig — decked out in a tiny tuxedo — carried the rings.
Mactaggart’s father gave a reading of the Robert Burns poem “A Red Red Rose” and the happy couple’s special moment was capped with the Beatles classic “Here Comes the Sun.”
Live music was provided by singer Tomi Swick.
The service was followed by cocktails and dinner at the resort.
