MONTREAL – The two suspicious deaths discovered by police in Ville-Émard Saturday have been confirmed as a murder-suicide.

The body of a woman in her 50s was found in an apartment building at the corner of Jolicoeur and Briand.
Police said that she was murdered by her ex-partner, a man in his 40s, whose body was found earlier in the day in a park by the Lachine Canal.
That’s where police believe he committed suicide.
This is the city’s 10th homicide of the year.
