‘Y&R’ leads Daytime Emmys race with 26 nominations

TORONTO — Daytime dramas The Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives and lifestyle series The Talk are among the Daytime Emmy Awards nominees announced Thursday.

All three shows air in Canada on Global.

Y&R and Days of Our Lives will compete for Outstanding Drama Series against The Bold and the Beautiful and One Life to Live.

All but one of the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series nominees are on Y&R: Peter Bregman, Doug Davidson, Christian Leblanc and Billy Miller.

Y&R, in fact, leads the Daytime Emmys race with 26 nominations.

The Talk is up against The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Live! With Kelly and Michael, Rachael Ray and The View for Outstanding Talk Show.

The Talk‘s panel of hosts are nominated for Outstanding Game Show Host along with Dr. Mehmet Oz (Dr. Oz), Katie Couric (Katie), Rachael Ray and the hosts of The View.

In all, The Talk is up for five awards.

The Daytime Emmys will be handed out June 22 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
