MONTREAL – The latest Quebec election poll shows the Liberal Party holding its ground in the run up to voting day on April 7.

The EKOS survey was conducted for the political news website iPolitics and it reveals that the Quebec Liberal Party is holding steady with 40 per cent of the vote.

The polls shows that the Liberals have a lead of more than 13 points on the Parti Quebecois, who have the support of 26.3 per cent of voters.
The Coalition avenir Quebec (CAQ) is also on the rise, arriving in third place with 21 per cent support, while Quebec Solidaire has a consistent 9.6 per cent support.
Quebec Liberal Party: 40%
Parti Quebecois: 26.3%
Coalition Avenir Quebec: 21%
Quebec Solidaire: 9.6%
According to the pollster, if these figures were reflected in an election result, Quebec would be led by a Liberal government after voters go to the polls on Monday.
The poll, conducted by EKOS Research via an automated telephone survey, polled 1422 Quebec voters between March 27 and April 3, 2014. It has a theoretical margin of error of 2.6 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
