There are preliminary indications that more seniors are living on Metro Vancouver’s streets.

Volunteers who took part in this year’s homeless count say they noticed more elderly people out in the cold.

Advocates say there are more Asian seniors and elderly women who need help and that is raising questions about affordable housing and culturally appropriate resources.

The homeless count is conducted every three years and the official numbers will be released in April.
