EDMONTON – The RCMP is investigating a homicide after a man was found laying on the side of the road on the Samson Cree Nation reserve around 7 a.m. Tuesday.
Maskwacis RCMP and EMS personnel were called to the scene and the man – believed to be in 50s – was pronounced dead.

“An autopsy will be conducted this morning and the identity of the deceased is being withheld at this time pending positive identification,” said Sgt. Josee Valiquette.
The RCMP says a suspect has been identified and arrested for murder.
The suspect’s identity will not be released until charges are laid.
The Maskwacis RCMP, the RCMP Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Section continue to investigate.
