UPDATE: Teen found on Alberta First Nation died of exposure to cold

EDMONTON – An autopsy has revealed that 17-year-old Travis Rain, whose body was found on the Samson First Nation on Saturday, died as a result of exposure to the cold.

Maskwacis RCMP believe he was trying to walk home , while under the influence of alcohol,  and became disoriented.

His body was discovered in an open area about 1.5 kilometers south of Highway 611.

It’s believed the teen was last seen on Jan. 17 in the Maskwacis area, and was reported missing a week later.
