A downtown Kelowna building has received a very special distinction: a heritage award from the Central Okanagan Heritage Society.
The Laurel Packinghouse received the award for a conservation project on a building currently in non-residential use.
The newly renovated packinghouse is the oldest and largest standing packinghouse in the province.
It is also a nationally designated landmark.
