Enbridge pumping station up and running after oil spill

Enbridge says it has received approval from the Ontario Energy Board to upgrade the backbone of its natural gas distribution system in the Greater Toronto Area. Steve Silva/Global News

REGINA – An Enbridge pipeline is back up and running after being shut down due to a leak at a pumping facility south of Regina.

Enbridge estimates approximately 125 barrels of oil escaped at Rowatt Station along Line 67 before the section was isolated on Saturday morning.

The company says in a news release that all the product was contained inside the site and that there was no impact to wildlife or waterways.

Enbridge says that due to high winds, some spray landed on the snow of an adjacent farm field but has been picked up.
