TORONTO — Rachel Nichols, who stars in the made-in-B.C. series Continuum, is engaged to Canadian real estate developer Michael Kershaw.
Nichols, 33, showed off the sparkling ring from Kershaw on Instagram on Dec. 30.
The actress, who plays a Vancouver law enforcement agent from 2077 sent back in time, spent Christmas with Kershaw at her family’s home in Maine and the last few days of 2013 in New York City.
The newly-engaged couple arrived back in Vancouver on Wednesday.

“Thanks for all of the kind words about our engagement,” Nichols tweeted on Tuesday. “2013 is my favorite year although I don’t doubt there are even better years to come.”
It will be the second marriage for Nichols, who was married for seven months to film producer Scott Stuber in 2008-09.
Nichols’ credits include 2009’s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and 2012’s Alex Cross.
The third season of Continuum, which is in production until April, begins later this year on Showcase.
