Civic services in Saskatoon for the holidays

SASKATOON – Here are civic services and facilities hours and closures over the holidays.

City Hall: Closed Dec. 25-26 and Jan. 1.

Parking meters: No payment required on Dec. 25-26 and Jan. 1 but vehicles must be moved within the time period shown on parking meters to allow for a constant turnover of parking availability.

Municipal impound lot: No vehicles will be released to the public on Dec. 25-26 and Jan. 1.

Landfill: Closed on Dec. 25 and Jan.1. Regular hours on all other days – 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Garbage/recycling collection: takes place as scheduled.

Saskatoon Public Library: All locations closed Dec. 25-26 and Jan. 1. All locations close at 5 p.m. on Dec. 24 and 31. Regular hours on all other days.

Mendel Art Gallery/Civic Conservatory: Closed Dec. 25. Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec 24 and 31. Regular hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on all other days.

Customer service centre will be closed Dec. 25-26 and Jan. 1. Customer service phone lines will be available between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on those days.

Access Transit: Operating with the following holiday hours: 6:15 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. on Dec. 24; 8:15 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. on Dec. 25-26; 6:15 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Dec. 31 (service is free after 8 p.m. on Dec. 31); 8:15 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. on Jan. 1. Normal booking procedures will apply. Customers are reminded that subscriptions do not apply on statutory holidays.

Saskatoon Forestry Farm and Zoo: Closed Dec. 25.

Indoor arenas: All arenas closed Dec 25-26 and Jan 1.

Clarence Downey speed skating oval: Closed Dec. 25, open Dec. 26 and Jan. 1 weather permitting.

Cosmo Civic Centre: Closed Dec. 25-26.

Fitness circuit and Terry Fox track: Closed Dec. 25-26 and Jan. 1.

Lakewood Civic Centre: Closed Dec. 25; modified hours Dec. 26 and Jan 1. All fitness classes and child minding cancelled on Dec. 26.

Lawson Civic Centre: Closed Dec. 25; modified hours Dec. 24, 26, 31 and Jan 1.

Saskatoon Field House: Closed Dec. 25; modified hours Dec. 24, 26, 31 and Jan 1.

Shaw Centre: Closed Dec. 25; modified hours Dec. 26 and Jan 1. All afternoon fitness classes and child minding cancelled on Dec. 24 and 31.

Harry Bailey Aquatic Centre: Closed Dec. 25; modified hours Dec. 24, 26, 31 and Jan 1. All fitness classes and swim lessons cancelled on Dec. 26.
