A man who stabbed a Vancouver food delivery bike rider and slashed his throat has pleaded guilty to two separate attacks.
In September 2022, 26-year-old Hamidullah Habibi suffered multiple stab wounds while dropping off a meal in Chinatown.
Luckily, bystanders were able to slow his bleeding until paramedics arrived.
Habibi required surgery and at least 20 staples in his neck.
“I was really scared of him,” he told Global News at the time.
“This guy he (started) stabbing me, and everything was happening so fast… Then suddenly, I (felt) something in my throat that it was I can’t breathe.”
Global News has learned that 44-year-old Dennis Prasad has pleaded guilty to the crime and to another stabbing the day before, which left that victim with life-altering injuries.
Prasad was arrested at the scene and he remains in custody.
