CALGARY- One person was killed and another seriously injured after a motorocycle collided with an SUV on Thursday.
It happened around 3:45 p.m. near 50th Ave. and 47 Street N.E.
Police say a motorcycle with two people on it was travelling southbound on 47th Street, when an SUV travelling northbound turned left in front of it.
Both people on the bike were thrown, and the 38-year old man was declared dead at the scene. His 26-year-old female passenger was rushed to Foothills Hospital in serious but stable condition.
The driver of the SUV was not injured.
Police say neither speed and or alcohol are believed to be factors in the collision.
Earlier on Thursday, a senior was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, after a similar incident involving a motorcycle and SUV.
