A woman with stab wounds later arrived at the Peter Lougheed Centre, and a second victim was found by police at the scene of the fight.

Officials say their injuries weren’t serious, and both victims were listed in stable non life-threatening condition.

However, police were called to Abadan Place N.E. again on Sunday night after a man was stabbed in the upper torso.

A woman also suffered slashes to her hands.

Police arrived on scene at 86th Avenue S.E. and Bonaventure Drive S.E. around 8 a.m.

They found a woman who appeared to have been stabbed in her face, and a man who had stab wounds in his chest.

As EMS treated the woman for her injuries, they discovered her facial cuts were actually the result of being hit in the face with a heavy object. The force of the blow broke the woman’s glasses, cutting her and breaking bones in her face.

Duty inspector Chris Butler says police believe the man’s stab wounds were self inflicted.

He remains in hospital in life-threatening condition.

Police aren’t clear what their relationship is.

There are reports a party with drugs involved was being held in the area, prior to the violent incident.

In total, police say five stabbings in Calgary over Heritage Day long weekend left seven people injured and one person dead.
