CALGARY – One of three people charged with the murder of Calgary father Ryan Lane is no longer facing additional child pornography charges.
A judge has stayed the child pornography charges against 38-year-old Will Rempel, after he agreed to a peace bond.
Rempel is currently being held at the Calgary Remand Centre, and will no longer be allowed access to a computer as part of the conditions of his peace bond.
Will Rempel, his brother Tim Rempel and Tim’s wife Sheena Cuthill Rempel are all charged with first-degree murder in the death of Ryan Lane.
Police have said they believe Lane’s death was motivated by a custody dispute between Lane and Sheena.
All three of accused have a pre-preliminary inquiry on the murder charges next week.
