Nova Scotia RCMP are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that left one passenger dead, two passengers injured and the driver fleeing from the scene.
According to police, they responded to the crash on Bog Road in Mount Denson shortly before 1 a.m. on Thursday.

A 22-year-old man who was a passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead when officers arrived. Two female passengers, a 16-year-old and a 20-year-old, were transported to Valley Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The 25-year-old driver of the vehicle fled the crash before the Mounties arrived on the scene but was arrested at 9 a.m. without incident.
Charges are pending as RCMP continue to investigate the incident.

According to a media release, Windsor District RCMP, RCMP Police Dog Services, an RCMP Collision Analyst, EHS, the Windsor Fire Department, the Hantsport Fire Department and Nova Scotia Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal all attended the scene
Bog Road remains closed at this time.
