An ultralight plane has crashed into a forested area near Greenfield, N.S.
Police say the pilot of the plane was forced to climb down a tree to safety after the incident.

Cpl. Jennifer Clarke, an RCMP spokesperson, says the plane went into the trees moments after taking off from the local airport in Greenfield.
The pilot was the only person on board and was not injured during the crash.
Trevor Munroe, chief of the Liverpool Fire Department, told Global News that there had been a plane crash and that it was first reported at 12 p.m.

According to The Canadian Press, the Transportation Safety Board and Transport Canada are assisting in the investigation.
There is no information on what caused the crash.
