UPDATE: 2nd man charged in Saskatoon drug bust

Police have seized meth and OxyContin pills in a Saskatoon drug bust.

Members of the combined forces special enforcement unit (CFSEU) and the Saskatoon police tactical support unit made the bust on Wednesday.

They arrested a man in a parking lot in the 3100-block of Laurier Drive.

A search turned up an ounce of meth, 90 millilitres of gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB) and a knife.

Police then searched two homes – one in the 1000-block of Boychuck Drive and the other in the 400-block of Kloppenburg Street.

Officers seized 967.9 grams of meth, 22.5 OxyContin pills, 90 ml of GHB and $1,550 in cash.

A 26-year-old man is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and a possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.

A 24-year-old woman was also arrested during the search of the homes for breach of statutory release.

CFSEU is made up of members of the Saskatoon Police Service, Prince Albert Police Service, Regina Police Service and the RCMP F Division.
