It happened in the 9200 block of 17 Avenue S.E. just after 11 pm.

The driver did not remain at the scene. Investigators are looking for a black Dodge Ram truck with damage to the front passenger side.

Police say it’s possible the vehicle was stolen.

“We haven’t confirmed that this was a stolen vehicle,” Sgt. Joerg Gottschling said. “However, the black Dodge pickup truck debris matches a vehicle that was stolen earlier that day.”

Conner MacLeod, who lives nearby, said he saw two police officers heading past at a pretty fast rate of speed.

“I was a little concerned, then I saw another two go past not more than 30 seconds later and then maybe a minute later I saw a SWAT van heading up 17 Avenue as well,” MacLeod said.

Anyone with information on the collision is asked to call police at 403-266-1234 or contact Crime Stoppers.
