Charlie Clark was back on the campaign trail Wednesday.
This morning he announced how he would improve business in Saskatoon.

Clark said he would appoint a business and development officer to oversee local business if he’s elected mayor.
“This is the first step, to learn from how other cities have done it well,” Clark said.
He said with Saskatoon’s increasing population in Saskatoon, there will be opportunities to attract more businesses, and have job growth.
“When someone comes in and says ‘I want to grow my business here, I want to invest in a new business opportunity here,’ they experience someone who helps them work through the entire process,” Clark said.
He didn’t say how much this new position would cost taxpayers.

Clark added that he will continue to oppose the idea of shifting business taxes to homeowners, as a way of attracting business.
