Police are advising condo and apartment dwellers to be alert following a number of mailbox break-ins in Saskatoon.
Official said around 20 have been broken into so far in 2016.

A woman was arrested on Tuesday when she allegedly tried to break into the mailbox at an apartment complex in the 400-block of 5th Avenue North.
Police said that when she was arrested, officers found stolen government and personal cheques.
There was an attempted break-in the following day to mailboxes in the 100-block of St. Lawrence Crescent.

Police are asking people to watch for suspicious activity, report the activity to police immediately, pick up mail daily, and direct mail that may contain credit cards or identity cards to a post office which will require a signature for pick-up.
They are also recommending that landlords and building owners ensure all mailbox locks are working properly.
