Manitoba Election 2016: St. Norbert riding

Summary: NDP MLA Dave Gaudreau seeks re-election in St. Norbert, Winnipeg’s southwestern most riding, and one of many ridings in southern Winnipeg the PC party is aiming to pick up on April 19.

Boundaries: The riding is bordered by the rail line north of Perimeter Highway, and the Red River to the south of the highway. To the north, it is bordered by Bison Drive and Bishop Grandin Boulevard.

Last Election: Gaudreau defeated PC candidate Karen Velthuys by just 31 votes.

History: The riding has been held by the NDP since 2003, but elected PC candidates in five of six elections from 1981 to 1999.
