QUEBEC CITY – The province’s new education minister Pierre Moreau is expected back at work next week.

It will be a busy first day back; the hearings for Bill 86 are scheduled for Tuesday afternoon after question period.

The Commission scolaire de Montreal and its parents committee are the first two groups to appear at the hearings.

Moreau was taken to hospital the day of Premier Philippe Couillard’s cabinet shuffle Jan. 26, and has been on medical leave ever since.

In a brief press release last week, the Ministry of Education announced Moreau underwent several tests before being released from hospital.
