UPDATE: Dillon RCMP say missing northern Sask. man found dead

Mounties are asking for help in locating a missing northern Saskatchewan man. Ernest Sylvestre, 68, was reported missing to Dillion RCMP on Dec. 19.

He was last seen near his Michel Village home, which is near Buffalo Narrows, during the evening hours of Dec. 14.

Sylvestre is five-foot eight, approximately 220 pounds with white hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black bomber jacket with a reflective strip across the chest, blue jeans and rubber boots.

He drives a red 2015 Ford F150 supercab truck with Saskatchewan licence plate 890 JXN.

Sylvestre is known to have contacts in Beauval and frequents Buffalo Narrows and other neighbouring communities.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Sylvestre is asked to contact police at 306-282-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
