REGINA – The first taste of winter weather could be hitting southern Saskatchewan including Regina on Tuesday.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for southeast Saskatchewan saying that the first snow accumulation of the season is likely for Tuesday.

Precipitation is expected to begin as rain on Tuesday, but turn to snow over the course of the day and continuing until Wednesday afternoon.

The southeast area of the province could see 5 to 10 centimetres of snow over the two days.
