Drugs, guns seized during Winnipeg police investigation

WINNIPEG — Four people are facing charges and over $100,000 worth of drugs were seized from a home in Waverley West on Thursday.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Winnipeg police officers arrested Kevin Genik, 26, in connection to the investigation.

Around four hours later, Winnipeg police executed a search warrant at a home in the 200 block of Park West Drive as part of the investigation.

The total amount of drugs seized at the home is estimated to be $133,270. Full list of drugs and contraband seized:

  • Loaded Ruger handgun
  • Mossberg Maverick shotgun
  • Black Forge assault rifle and ammunition
  • One kilogram of cocaine – estimated street value $65,000
  • 13.8 pounds of marijuana – estimated street value $35,000
  • Two pounds of hash – estimated street value $8,000
  • Two pounds of mushrooms – estimated street value $4,000
  • 6.17 ounces of MDMA – estimated street value $3,100
  • 208 x 40 mg Oxycontin – estimated street value $8,320
  • 74 x 60 mg Hydromorphone – estimated street value $1,850
  • Benzocaine – estimated street value $3,350
  • Procaine – estimated street value $4,650
  • $9,740 Canadian currency

Three people were found in the home and were also charged in connection to the investigation.

Brett Ryan Lebleu, 24, a 27-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man are face numerous drug and weapon related charges.
